Regarding the topic of the article, the diminishing expectation for professional due diligence is starkly apparent. How might we effectively redefine the foundational responsibilities within professional practise?

Ownership is the key.

When you spend 40 hours building something, it feels yours, you own it automatically.

When AI generates it in 40 seconds and you verify in 40 minutes, there's psychological distance. It feels like someone else's work to you. But to everyone else it is still your output, your reputation.

It takes an identity shift to own that output, refine it, and take pride in it. After all, the skill you worked for hours to master now seemingly takes seconds to reproduce, so where's your value?
